Stay Your Hand (Assassin!Reader x Noble!Austria)Stay Your Hand (Assassin!Reader x Noble!Austria) by UnluckyAmulet
That morning, Roderich Edelstein had the strangest feeling he was being watched.
It was nothing tangible he could really outright claim was the source of his ill-at-ease feeling, that nagging sensation rattling in the back of his head that something was just a little off about that morning. He attended to his affairs as usual, moving about his estate in a brisk, efficient manner that belied his inward sense of unease. He reasoned with himself that perhaps he was over-tired. Yes, that had to be it- he had simply been working too hard recently. The expansion of his estate was proving to be quite time-consuming and stressful. Eventually, satisfied that he had pinpointed the reason for feeling like there was an eye on him wherever he went, unblinking, he continued on with his daily business, as usual.
Of course, if he knew that there really was someone watching, perhaps he would not have been so dismissive of his gut instinct.
It wasn't easy for you to balance on the rain-slicked roof of E

There are some people who are fortunate enough to be able to do what they love as a career- they wake up thinking of possibilities, not of burdens. They are the kind who hasten the dawn, awaiting for each day to come, not yearning for the approach of light, equating it to the relief of a heavy burden.
Francis Bonnefoy was one of those lucky few.
The Rouge Café was, to Francis, the perfect combination of food, people and ambient atmosphere. Almost every day, the blonde man came across interesting people to talk to, whether they were first time customers or regular patrons. He felt a strange, profound sympathy for those who woke with a sense of dismay and exhaustion, dreading the day ahead, for it was surely a dispiriting way to live.
Speaking of dispiriting, something caught his eye and he glanced up, alerted by the gentle chiming of the bell above the doorway.
Francis' eyes lit up in recognition as he spotted the figure that had pushed through the doorway, shaking some of their ha

You gently ran your fingers through Francis’ soft blond locks, a smile pulling at your lips when you heard the Frenchman’s content sighs that came with your soothing touch.
At the moment you found yourself in Francis’ house, seated casually on the couch while Francis sat on the floor directly in front of you with his back turned. His head rested comfortably between your legs, a clear invitation that Francis wanted his hair to be played with – after all, it was something he enjoyed quite thoroughly, especially when it was you doing it.
“Je t’aime, _____.” His words were a mere whisper, just barely breaking the silence as he leaned against your touch. “I love you.”
Those words alone were enough to make heat rise to your cheeks, and focusing your gaze on your fingers, you gulped before trying to reply without stuttering. “…I love you too, Francis.”
Words didn’t seem to be enough for the Frenchman as Franc

Kiku’s hands shook as he readjusted his grip on the bouquet of flowers, his breath escaping in erratic patterns as he attempted to calm himself down.
But what, pray tell, was there anything to calm down about?
His normally calm and composed demeanor was slipping as he forced himself to walk up to your doorstep, and at this point, his knuckles were white from holding onto the bouquet so tightly.
Honestly, he wouldn’t have been here if it weren’t for Alfred, and Kiku wasn’t sure whether or not that was a good thing. He’d recently heard from the American that you were pretty shy when it came to relationships, so that meant that you didn’t typically make the first move; so, knowing of the Japanese man’s crush on you, Alfred pushed him to confess before someone else stole you away.
Now, that was easier said than done
